About the show:

With a full score of jazzy songs and bright dance numbers, Thoroughly Modern Millie took Broadway by storm and won the Tony Award for Best Musical in 2002.

Based on the 1967 film of the same name, the show tells the story of a small town girl, Millie Dillmount, who comes to New York City to marry for money instead of love – a thoroughly modern aim in 1922. Millie is soon swept away by the flapper lifestyle, but her mission to marry her boss gets derailed when she meets Jimmy. All is not what it seems and together they are embroiled in a madcap plot, involving hidden identities, kidnap and the white slave trade in China.
