- Notes: Set in an isolated chalet in The French Alps, during the 1960′s, Trap for the Lonely Man is a psychological thriller concerning a man who has apparently lost his wife, and is rapidly losing his mind.Having reported her missing to the police, a woman returns as his repentant wife, but Daniel Corban claims she is an impostor. When various witnesses declare that she is indeed the Madam Corban they have seen happily ensconced in the chalet, Daniel is convinced that some sort of conspiracy is being played out to drive him mad, or worse to his death, as there is a considerable inheritance at stake. As he tries to convince the police that he his in danger, tension and mystery rise throughout and is sustained until the end.
