Mossley AODS has something of a reputation for tackling difficult, demanding shows and, over the last 10 years has been one of the few amateur companies in the that have had the courage to produce completely new pieces of theatre. So far the Society has produced three new musicals, in 2000, 2001 and 2006, and April 2009 will see the fourth.

WITCHFINDER, the Musical -  is written by Martin Roche with music by Ian Crabtree. It is a powerful piece, which tells the story of the Pendle witch trials in the 17th century within a system that had propagated the fear, suspicion, hatred and bigotry that surrounded the phenomenon of Witchcraft. Romance, tragedy, humour and high drama are weaved together with some stunning musical numbers – a superb fusion of fact and fiction.

The show runs Monday 20 Apr 09 to Saturday 25 Apr 09 – Evenings at 7.30pm with Saturday matinee at 2.15pm.

Ring 0161 633 3062 for details.

Venue – George Lawton Hall, Stamford Street, Mossley, Ashton-u-Lyne  Lancs OL5 0HR
