- Notes: Yeomen of the Guard by Gilbert & Sullivan is set in this production in Stuart times in the Tower of London. Colonel Fairfax is about to be beheaded but a plot is afoot to save his life. Some wandering players get inadvertently involved and one of them Elsie, falls in love with the disguised Fairfax. The tangled love story is resolved except for the hapless jester Jack Point who is broken-hearted.
