My group will be doing Are You Being Served in May and we are having a lot of trouble finding a suitable wig for Mrs Slocombe. We want a really good wig and not a pink 'Frenchie' or a blue 'Dame Edna'. Does anyone know where we might be able to get such a wig either for purchase or hire. We see the wig as being almost a character on its own! We are happy to buy a white/grey wig and spray it but we'd need to be able to set it in her style. I've seen a few wigs online and one in a wig store but they all seem to be rather short and not enough volume to be able to recreate her look.
All advice gratefully received. Vicky - The Wesley Players |

Why not do a deal with a local hair tweezy shop, to supply the wig, for a fee advert in the programme.

Vicky - The Wesley Players Thanks guys - struck out on your suggestions but have found one via Derek Easton wigs who had an ad on the newsletter recently. I'm soo looking forward to wearing it along with my union jack knickers!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |

But a wee small problem I see is how you will drag along the 'Jack' Staff mast? Isn't it the 'Union" flag!
