ACT ONE THEATRE GROUP
Act One Theatre Group is a charitable amateur group, which was formed in 1995 when the company mounted a highly successful production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat"
After the success of "Oliver" in 1996, which was staged at the Capitol Theatre Didsbury, (and incidentally was the last production to play there before the theatre was sadly torn down)Act One has been performing their productions at St Pauls Church in Withington Manchester.
For their auditions and rehearsals they use the Parish Hall, later moving into the church.
Act One Theatre Group has a reputation for producing innovative and challenging shows which has led to parts in other major professional productions for several members of the cast. Every July St Pauls Church is transformed into a theatre for the production run, with staging, lighting and sound systems brought in to create a large auditorium.
