East Actors Theatre Company was founded by 4 Actors in April 2004. The management team of East Actors wanted to form a company in the Barnet area that could focus mainly on acting and who could obtain a sustained level of practice in a theatre environment without having to charge large sums of money for membership. East Actors are constantly searching for talented people aged between 17 - 70 who are interested in becoming Actors, Sound Operators, Stage Management, Lighting Operators, Prop and set designers and builders, Costume Designers and Makers, Directors and even Writers.

East Actors message to members is 'Training through experience' and they believe that people benefit from being actively involved. East Actors aim to put on four major productions each year. These will be performed in their fully functional theatre, and will be assisted by directors, full production crew and full use of professional sound/lighting equipment, sets and costumes.

East Actors are working towards being an established core of Barnet’s arts activities and are developing new scripts with new writers and hoping to produce some original and innovative new plays.
