An exciting new national competition for amateur musical theatre groups across Scotland has been launched . The Amateur Musical Theatre Challenge has been setup by a group of individuals with over 20 years experience both on and off stage in amateur theatre.

The challenge is designed to bring together amateur theatre groups both large and small from across Scotland who have a passion for performing and allow them to showcase their talent.

David Bridges, Co-Director of the challenge said “It’s not all about winning. As well as competing to win this years challenge, we want groups to get a bit more than that from taking part. We want them to meet new friends, network with others and share their experiences of amateur theatre.”

Application forms and further information can be requested from the organisers’ website at: http://www.amateurmusicaltheatre.com or by calling 0844 357 9919. Deadline for completed entries is 1st March 2009.

Amateur Musical Theatre Company Limited has been setup with the sole aim of promoting amateur musical theatre in Scotland through competition and education.
