Following two successful London runs and a concert in Stockholm, Giles Howe and Katy Lipson’s exciting new musical ‘Turkish Delight the Opera’ returns! Another London run is being staged in August 2008 at the Rosemary Branch Theatre, 2 Shepperton Road, Islington. This production stars Magoria Edler, Anthony Flaum, Silje Lervik Aarflot, and Aaron Bolton (understudies: Ilan Shefer, Lottie Williams-Burrell).

I know this is a drama site, but what is happening to the TV? There is a plethora of programmes about gardening, DIYing, cooking, being made to spend valuable living time with people you don’t know, being humiliated in quiz shows and audition shows, rescuing pets, watching, voyeuristically, hospital wards and operations, football wall to wall, repeats and repeats.

The world of communication technology is now rampant. Everyone seems to be “on-line” and at social events you are just as likely to be invited to visit someone’s web site as you are to be offered a drink. A few days ago, an enthusiastic surfer button-holed me to announce that advertising will never be the same again now that you can log on to practically anything you ever wanted to know! Well, I don’t know about that.
