Rehearsals for our next show are well under way. The play has been chosen by Carol Jewel, and she will be directing ‘A Fly in the Ointment’ which is a brilliantly funny comedy by the well known author Derek Benfield.

Every production we offer disabled and/or elderly people the opportunity to watch our Sunday dress rehearsal for free. We welcome groups from nursing homes too. Recent feedback from ‘Doughtys’ nursing home residents tells us they look forward to it immensely and always have a lovely afternoon out. If your residents are interested in attending our dress rehearsal on Sunday 26th of March at 2.30pm then please telephone 01603 810150 to make arrangements.

We are always keen to welcome new members to our group.  We rehearsal on a Thursday night at Drayton Village Hall, which is also where we perform, from 7.30.  You don’t have to be an actor, there are many other ways you can be involved as a member. Enjoy the pleasure of being creative in set building, scenic design, lighting, stage management, or front of house, even book-keeping? The group has been performing twice yearly (or sometimes more) since 1949.  We normally start rehearsals at the beginning of January for our production at the end of March and at the beginning of September for our production at the end of November.
