In its 30th Anniversary year, the Ayr Fort Players are delighted to bring to the Gaiety the stage version of the iconic series, City Lights – The Life and Death of Willie Melvin. Willie, bank teller at Strathclyde Savings Bank, finds himself in hospital after a fire at the bank with all the characters in his chaotic life in the beds around him: his mother, Mr McLelland the Bank Manager, Brian, Chancer, Tam and some of his many love interests………… As ever he uses the opportunity to attempt to get his book, My Life Up A Close, published with hilarious results! The show is on at the Gaiety Theatre Ayr from the 22nd to the 25th March at 7.30.
