Woolton Drama Group is bringing a new version of Shakespeare’s Hamlet to unusual locations in South Liverpool – a local church and park.

Adapted and directed by David Jeffery, Woolton Drama Group will be performing Hamlet in St. James’ Church, Woolton, and the Walled Gardens at Sudley House.

Building on the successes of 2017 – Dick Whittington the Pantomime and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde – Woolton Drama Group are looking forward to putting on another high-quality show, suitable for Shakespeare newbies or long-term fans of the Bard.

Director David Jeffery commented: “Hamlet is consistently ranked one of Shakespeare’s best plays, and the cast are enjoying sinking their teeth into the script. We’re all very excited to be able to perform this play in two unusual locations – the atmosphere in St. James’ Church will be phenomenal, and the Walled Gardens will let people enjoy Shakespeare in the sun.”
