Description of Event: Marking the tenth anniversary of his death, the Norwich Players present a double bill of one-act plays about memory and the mind by Harold Pinter. These are the only performances of these plays outside of the Pinter Theatre’s forthcoming season in London.
At one end of a long table sits Beth. At the other end sits Duff. Between them is an uneasy join. Beth talks of tenderness and rapture; he talks of beer and violence. Duff talks of infidelity; and she talks of love. Are they husband and wife? Are their memories real? Are they even in the same room?
A Kind of Alaska:
As a result of a new medication, a middle-aged woman wakes up in a coma having been asleep for thirty years. In the room with her are two people who claiming to be her doctor and her sister. Yet can she really know them and do they truly know her?
