Eddie’s an aspiring stationery salesman with a flash car and a moustache he adores. Crystal’s a croupier with a bit of a thing for Sean Connery. Together these two would-be lovers spend a wet weekend in a shabby seaside hotel attempting to spark romance. But will opposites attract or should Eddie have stayed at home with his Mum?

Robert Farquhar’s plays have all received their first performances at Liverpool’s Unity Theatre by his theatre company. Peccadillo. His plays include The Angry Kitchen Sink, Dead Heavy Fantastic, Empty The Thought Bubble, Almost Forever But, Dust To Dust and God’s Official. Kissing Sid James was subsequently produced at the Oldham Coliseum Theatre, Bolton Octagon Theatre and by Hull Truck Theatre Company. Almost Forever But, Dust To Dust and God’s Official have also been presented at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe where God’s Official was awarded the 2000 Spirit of the Fringe Award. God’s Official has also been produced at the Croydon Warehouse Theatre, Liverpool Everyman Theatre, West Yorkshire Playhouse and the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough. Robert lives in Liverpool.
